8-Bit Breadboard Computer

Ben Eater is a great youtuber who makes really good educational videos on electronics on youtube, especially projects that have to do with logic devices. When i found out that he made a series building an 8-bit computer from scratch, i knew that this was a project i absolutely had to build. I bought all the components I needed online and spent the next couple of weeks going through his tutorial videos online and gradually building the computer. I ended up using 14 breadboards for the project. I count enter programs in machine language, run them and see the output on LEDs and 7 segment displays. It could do additions, subtractions, multiplications and even display Fibonacci numbers in sequence. Pretty cool right? I had a lot of fun building this and it was a great learning experience into how computers work. I later replicated this on an FPGA and you can find details about that here. You can also find a video of it working here.
